The Foundation is the official foundation supporting the Board of Governors, Chancellor’s Office, and the entire California Community College system. It is active with a number of student success initiatives, including the California Guided Pathways Project.
The HEATH Resource Center is an online clearinghouse on postsecondary education for individuals with disabilities. The HEATH Resource Center Clearinghouse has information for students with disabilities on educational disability support services, policies, procedures, adaptations, accessing college or university campuses, career-technical schools, and other postsecondary training entities. We have information on financial assistance, scholarships, and materials that help students with disabilities transition into college, university, career-technical schools, or other postsecondary programs.
The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) accredits associate degree granting institutions in the Western region of the U.S. ACCJC operates under the corporate entity the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The ACCJC is one of seven regional accrediting commissions. The ACCJC is authorized to operate by the U.S. Department of Education through the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.
The Community College League of California is a nonprofit public benefit corporation whose voluntary membership consists of the 72 local community college districts in California. Within the League are two major organizations which share a common mission, staff and fiscal resources: the California Community College Trustees (CCCT) and the Chief Executive Officers of the California Community Colleges (CEOCCC).
The Pacific ADA Center serves as one of ten nationwide regional ADA centers established by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) to provide information, training and technical assistance to employers, people with disabilities, and other entities with responsibilities under the ADA.
The California Department of Rehabilitation works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. Goals of the program include employment, independent living, and equality for individuals with disabilities.
Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology) serves to increase the participation of individuals with disabilities in challenging academic programs and careers. It promotes the use of computer and networking technologies to increase independence, productivity, and participation in education and employment.
The Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) is the leading national professional association committed to full participation of persons with disabilities in postsecondary education. It provides professional development opportunities; fosters community and member networking; informs members of emerging issues and legislation; and disseminates data, promotes research, and furthers evidence-based practice.
